Saying “Goodbye” to Tennessee

Change can be very hard in so many ways. It makes you leave the familiar behind and venture into the great unknown.

Goodbye

Leaving Tennessee meant saying “Goodbye” to our wonderful neighbors, our beloved community friends, our dear church family, our amazing co-workers, and even some close relatives, as well as missing the birth of our nephew’s firstborn son.

Nothing will ever be the same again! The home we lived in for almost 17 years now belongs to someone else. We have precious pets buried on that piece of land. Memories built there when our family was still all home and under one roof! So many Christmas’s celebrated in our cozy living room. And the gardens that God blessed from year to year.

But we are confident that the timing was perfect for us to let go and move forward to this next phase of our time on this earth.

For Our Tennessee Friends and Relatives

For our Tennessee friends and relatives: we are taking you with us in our hearts and minds. Please know that you have helped to make our past what it is. Thank you! We can keep you in our lives by sharing this journey with you. Our son wanted to do a blog on our retirement journey, so we thought it an excellent opportunity to keep you posted all at the same time. We are very private people, so this will be a new experience for us.

Our Hope

We want this recorded journey to be an encouragement and blessing to as many people as possible. You all no doubt will see our mistakes but, hopefully, also what we learn from them. We would love your input and thoughts along the way!
